I am so disappointed in the NBC Coverage. I hate all this chit chat. I want to see events or the opening ceremonies

62

That was unfortunate.

63

ara, if you can’t (haven’t tried), you can use “Hola Unblocker”. It’s an extension that allows you to watch BBC programming (I use it to watch Atlantis lol)

64

Thanks, romanigypsyeyes, I just added that. Yeah!

65

I’ve set my alarm for 3am so I can watch USA Women’s Hockey live.

66

Dedication

67

I’m waking up at 3:45 for snowboard slope style finals.

I see little difference between what the winter Olympics is devolving to be & ESPNs X games.

Not a big fan of last-man-standing competition.

70

Oops about the snowflake. Otherwise, a very impressive ceremony so far (it is on now in my neck of the woods).

71

And USA wins!

72

Anyone watching the team figure skating this morning? The ice dancing couple from Germany were so cute. Loved their routine.

73

On wait wait don’t tell me they said the Sochi Olympics cost more than all other Winter Olympics combined!

74

I am having a difficult time hearing moderators Matt and Meredith. Seems like they didn’t get the audio mix right.

75

I’d be fine never hearing Matt and Meredith again. They talk way too much.

76

LOL - apparently, not everyone saw the snowflake fiasco:

77

We are friends with the US skier who finished 8th in women’s cross country today, and her family. It was so great when she said at the end of the race that she could hear her mom cheering her on out on the course! :D

78

Thats so cool, intparent! Congrats!

79

I woke up at 6 a.m. today to watch figure skating which was being covered live on NBCSN. What I love about the daytime coverage is that they cover it as a sports event, not a made-for-TV drama. No interviews with world leaders. No gauzy “up close and personal” segments. You see a lot more of what you came to see – athletes competing.

It’s extra special when there is a surprise winner. Sage, from the u.s. taking gold in the new snowboarding event----just precious. He said in the interview he had never tried the third trick before, but felt he needed to go for something big, and it got him gold. Park city must be celebrating tonight. Such fun to watch!!
