<p>I’m realizing if you’re in a frat, you’re in for parties. If you’re an attractive girl, you also can pass freely to wherever. If you’ve been around a while or are in some clubs, I assume you can fenagle your way in. But with if you’re a freshman guy, or transfer guy (like myself) and looking to get connected? Currently lying in bed after finding nothing to do on the frist Friday of the semester–lame.</p>

<p>If you want to make connections, then I guess you’d have to talk to people. My suggestions would be to get out of your room, hang out with the guys down the hall, make friends with classmates, etc.</p>
<p>Transferring can be hard for precisely that reason. You have to make an extra effort to get to know people, there’s no other way around that. </p>
<p>Try connecting with fellow transfer students who are in the same boat. You should also definitely attend different events in your campus and participate in activities.</p>
<p>Does your school offer any programs for transfers? You should definitely check to see if they have such thing. You’ll get a chance to meet with other people who are going through the same experience of being in a new school.</p>
<p>Also, the first few weeks of school suck socially sometimes (especially for freshmen and transfers). Most clubs don’t have meetings until the middle of the first month, so sometimes you do find yourself hanging around in the dorm doing nothing! But hang in there, make an effort to get involved and keep busy on campus, and hopefully things will get better!</p>

<p>I don’t mean it as a knock on them–not their fault being born pretty ha–it’s just my observation that a pretty girl can go into any frat party at any time and will never need to buy alcohol. Anyway, I’ll keep at it and see how things go.</p>
