<p>YES you can. I’ve done it all semester but you really do have to put in the extra effort. Sometimes, it really sucks to have to drive down to campus when you’re tired/worn out from the day to go to a party, but you can have some form of social life when you’re a commuter. It will work out, but really: you need that extra effort. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to drive down to go to an on-campus party. And if it’s too late, maybe you can stay over at someone’s dorm for just the night.</p>

<p>It depends on what’s going on. Most weekends, I go hang out with my friends on campus. Some weekends I stay home so I can recoop from the long week. It’s also cool when people who are homesick, like a few of my friends, want a “home” to go hang out with, and I can bring them to my house. It just depends person-to-person though…some people like to stay home on weekends and others like to party :)</p>
