<p>I’m a UCSD student currently doing research for a magazine regarding the use of social media in the classroom (Twitter, Blogger, Facebook, Google Books, etc…) and the declining use of textbooks. Through my research, I’ve found out that certain language classes are having their students create blog posts and “tweets” in the language being learned, in other classes, facebook groups are being created as online study groups.</p>
<p>Have any of you taken any classes at UCSD where the use of social media has been an active part of your learning experience? Also, do you still use textbooks in your classes? If not, what do you use? Please discuss–any and all information is beneficial to my research :)</p>
