for the freshman summer session, I decided to fullfill the SBS requirement with the American cultural requirement as well as the math requirement for pre business.

anyone have any suggestions on doing well on these courses, course load, etc?

Math 16A should be fairly easy if you’ve taken Calc before… They really start with normal derivative… you dont start integrals until 16B! Sociol 3AC is basically attendance, quiz, and essays. Do well in all 3 components and you’ll ace it ;)! I heard they give EC for S3AC as well.!

Math 16A was easy. If you’ve taken Calc before, you really don’t even need to go to lecture. Just make sure you actually work through the homework and ask your GSI if you don’t understand something. That’s really all it takes to get an A.

I took both of these classes during my first semester at Cal. Totally doable! There are a few papers for 3AC, but they were all take-home (when I took it) so you get a lot of time to work on them. 16A isn’t bad if you’ve had Calc AB.
