Sociology

I know sociology at NU is ranked 11th (US News), but does anyone know any information about it that doesn’t have to do with rank?

How are the teachers?
Do a lot of students major in sociology?
Is it challenging or considered a slack major?
Is there a lot of busy work or reading involved?
Etc… :)

Sociology is one of the most popular majors at Northwestern. It’s a great place to take coursework in urban, organizational and culture/knowledge. You can add a second major or minor in other fields such as urban studies, legal studies, global health and more.
