soggy pistachios?

It is so humid here and nuts are going soggy. What is the best way to dry them out? These nuts are still in their shells.

We keep pistachios in the freezer…not sure what would happen if you put them in your freezer now…whether they would dehydrate a little before they froze or if they would freeze with all the moisture. But we pretty much always put pistachios in the freezer right when we buy them.

I have had moderate success putting them on a baking sheet in a 150 to 200 degree oven, but those were lousy stale pistachios to begin with, so I’m not sure how much improvement was even possible.

No these were good pistachios, so I’ll try your suggestions.

Try putting them in some raw rice.

I’ve done something similar to interesteddad when trying to revive stale crackers/cookies. The only difference is I heat the oven up and then turn the heat off before sliding in the soggy/stale snacks.
