Some admissions and FA stats of HAES for this year

[Andover and Peer Schools Admit Students | News | The Phillipian](Article: Antonio Pulgarin Speaks to Toxic Masculinity, LGBTQ+ Rights, and Latinx Issues in New Exhibition “Whispers of a Caballero.” – The Phillipian)

admit rate:
A - 14%, S - 15%, H - 16%, E - 18%

Percent of admitted students offered FA:
A - 45%, E - 40%, S - 35%, H - about 26% (i.e. 80/(1929*16%))

admit rate:
D - 13.5%, A - 14%, S - 15%, H - 16%, E - 18%

Percent of admitted students offered FA:
A - 45%, E - 40%, S - 35%, H - about 26% (i.e. 80/(1929*16%))

Just a quick note: SPS says that 35% of the admitted class will receive aid; Andover also says it expects to award aid to 45% of the class. (Hotchkiss’s numbers are fuzzier, but it sounds like will receive, not offered there too). Exeter’s figures are the percent of aid offered; the amount they award will almost certainly be higher.

According to an Exonian article based on stats from the Andover website, Andover offered aid to 38% of the applicant pool (compared to Exeter’s 40%). Similarly, SPS must have offered aid to fewer than 35% of admitted students to predict that yield.

The Phillipian article claims that Andover has offered the highest amount of aid to students, but without knowing how much aid Exeter offered (I can’t find that number anywhere in either article), there’s no evidence that that’s true; we do know that the percentage of aid offered is just a bit lower than Exeter’s.

I’m probably coming off as overly picky here…but the misinterpretation of statistics in newspapers is just one of those things that bugs me.

My bad. Didn’t read carefully enough.
Expected FA student ratio in new class: A-45%, S-35%
percentage of newly admitted offered FA: E-40%, H-80 students

This is Just from this article. Feel free to add stasts from other sources (specify source if possible)

Three questions:

First, are the 2011 admit stats at these schools based on completed applications alone or completed application and application inquiries?*

Second, if anyone knows, what are the 2011 per grade admit stats at these schools?

Third, to compare apples to apples, what is (a) the expected FA student ratio and (b) the percentage of newly admitted FA at these schools for 2011?

*The Phillipian article bases the 2011 admit stats for Hotchkiss and PA upon “completed applications”; it predicates the admit stats for SPS and PEA upon “applications”; and it contains no data regarding DA.

PEA’s is completed applications
