Some consolation and advices for my SAT adventure.

As an international student who lived 11 years overseas and aspiring to go to prestigious US colleges, i knew the paramount importance of SAT.

At the start of my sophomore summer i have been practicing SAT like a holy ritual.
My parents thought i should be at least scoring over 2100 for this test.

So i took the first one and it turned out to be an mere insult to my parents investment in SAT PREP. My score was only 1680.

then with even more zeal despite my frustration of working really hard, i took my second(during my junior year) and third test(during my senior year). My score? 1860 and 1830.

When i just received my third SAT result, my mother broke down in tears right in front of me… i felt numb, shocked and frustrated.

I’m an average A student in all my subjects at school and my ECAs are very strong.

I told my mom that SAT is not the end of the world and that i could perhaps improve on other aspects of the college app but i couldn’t specify what exactly they were. WHAT OTHER ASPECT OF COLLEGE APP CAN I IMPROVE SO THAT I CAN MAKE UP FOR MY TERRIBLE SAT SCORE?
