Some Employers Care about College Rankings?

<p>I know this is sometimes a topic of discussion on here, so I thought i’d post this. </p>

<p>So I was looking for work online (I graduate next month!) and I came across this under the “qualifications” section of a job posting.</p>

<p>“Hold a BA/BS degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting from a nationally ranked school by US News & World Report”</p>

<p>***? Since when do employers openly announce that they care about college rankings? Specifically US News rankings. Weird.</p>

<p>I look at job postings everyday and have never seen anything about rankings. Employers are usually selective with a particular major and amount of experience though.</p>
