Some good non-math/science related extracurriculars ?

Good day,

When I read about some of the people who got accepted at top colleges, I cannot help but observe that a very large percentage of them are people who frequently win math and science competitions, patent inventions, or some other extraordinary accomplishment in those fields. While I am a competent student in both subjects, I do not have any reason to imagine that I could be competitive in those fields what so ever. Fortunately, I am very strong in history, political science, the humanities, and other things of that nature. I was wondering what good extracurriculars are there for things of that sort ? I signed up for the debate team and am considering participating in the National History day competition. I am currently a Sophomore in High school who participates in several school sports teams. Thank You.

There’s DECA, a bunch of essay and poetry competitions-state and national level, debating, and of course national history day.

Patent inventions? I seriously doubt that

How about a job? Or volunteer work at your school district or county govt?

Solar Cup, Science olympiad, Physics bowl, math team…
