Grab on to your seats new admits…
admission high is better than any other high but some side effects might include:

-10X in coolness
–10X in attractiveness
-competitiveness
-pompousness
-irritability to morons
-talking about the best ranking programs at cal to anyone
-wearing CAL shirts for months at a time
-lowering dating standards
-admission comparison (ex. "how the f%@k did he get in here)
-uncontrollable joy when it’s raining because the crazy people and hobos don’t hang out on sproul
-undeserved confidence
-saying really loud in public “Oh…MAYBE I’ll GO TO BERKELEY…OR UCLA…I REALLY CAN’T DECIDE”…(guess what…i did it and everyone *was *impressed ;))

Have DEFINITELY already done this. Except substitute USC for Berkeley, haha. I’m sorry for being a cocky jerk, but it feels great. I was denied EVERYWHERE out of high school!

i got excited reading this, but its a much different excitement than i wouldve felt a month ago…this time its like excitement mixed with stomach knotting and nausea

arcadefire, the real side-effect would result in you realizing you’re not a cocky jerk for debating between USC and UCLA as they’re both bad schools ;)

@arcadefire: I totally get what you mean, I was rejected coming out of high school. Except right now it’s UCLA vs. Rice for me. I really hope Cal joins that list =) But it’ll be okay if it doesn’t.

The thread is awesome: lowering dating standards…LOL

Definately. In fact, as I started getting all my admission decisions, I suddenly felt the annoyance and irritation of the incompetence around me. Especially regarding my drop-out co-workers…
