Somebody's got to help? right?

Really quickly, if I want to go to schools like Tulane, USC, or Wisconsin, what kind of activities should i get involved in. Obviously, the grades and test scores are important but what kind of extra curriculars should i get involved with? Which clubs or groups might look best on an application?

You get involved in whatever interests you. That’s the only way for it to be sincere. There is no one size fits all approach to what schools are looking for. They’re trying to build a class with students with a range of interests.

I read an article about EC’s and college admissions. The admission person who was interviewed (top college) said that they much prefer a student with a PASSION in one or two area than a kid who obviously just joined clubs to pad his application.

With the exception of recruiting stellar athletes, public universities almost universally make their admissions decisions based on one’s stats plus state of residence.
