Someone explain this transfer credit to me?

<p>I took a computer science class in hs and got credit from LWTC and i sent the transcript to uw and they loaded my credit up on my transcript online and i dont even really understand it. Did really all 10 credits from LWTC transfer over as it says that i have 10 transfer credits? Because if i recall my teacher said only like 4 or something transfer over. Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>Yes, they all transferred over. The ones where there is an XX at the end of the number means that UW does not have an exact equivalent of that class – so you just get credits – they don’t go towards anything. The four credits of CSE 142 that transferred over is probably what your teacher was talking about.</p>

<p>so those extra 6 credits, what do they go towards? Like i know how cse is a NW class. So do i have 10 NW credits?</p>

<p>They almost certainly go towards nothing. They are just credits towards your 180 needed for a degree.
