Someone needs to say this before m10

i think this needed to be said, lol

writing this it’s 9:12 on m8 so we’re like 27ish hours away from the first decisions coming out on m10. i got waitlisted from one of my top choice schools today, and as we know, waitlists are pretty much soft rejections! so it is kindof a bummer but it is what it is. ANYWAYS

we all worked really hard for this day to come, so no matter what your results are, celebrate the fact that you tried!! i think on this forum i’ve kinda made a name for myself as having a low gpa because i never hesitate to bring it up in conversation haha but even with my low gpa i’m hoping for the best because that’s all you really can do. admittedly, i, too, tweak over ups notifications. more often than i’d like to admit. but you tweaking over your ups notifications are just a symbol of how hard you tried to produce good results on m10 so seriously calm down and let time do the rest of the work. y’all fellow applicants are some of the most accomplished teenagers i’ve ever seen so PLEASE stop worrying about whether or not you curing cancer has given you even a small chance of getting into your safety. if you’re going into HS, you’re going to end up somewhere. whether or not that is one of your top choice BS’ is another story. since i’m applying as a junior, i can say that the switch from MS into HS is such a crazy experience and it’s really all about what you make of it. i made the mistake of choosing to let myself be miserable and now i’m trying to transfer out halfway through, lol.

best of luck to everyone on m10 and hopefully we get another good day of friendly craziness instead of genuinely losing it

Yeah and to those of us who have received some decisions already, especially the bad ones, don’t let it worry you tomorrow. It’s a CC cliche to say “love the school that loves you” but it is definitely true. So take the time to feel the feelings, rejection is hard, but also take the steps to move on. You’ve got brighter days ahead and good luck!
