<p>First, you must find an article appearing in a highly respected newspaper, preferably the New York Times, appearing since August 20, 2007, which can be related to something that happened, started, or was founded anywhere in the world but before 1500. (Foreign students: you are welcome to use newspapers published in your country of origin, but they must be published in English.) Once you have found the article, you will write an argument-based paper explaining the connection between the pre-1500 phenomenon and the newspaper article you chose. </p>
