how can you get rid of acne?
You can try some over the counter acne treatments. Clean and Clear has a pretty good on the spot treatment. Another option is going to a dermatologist–it might be more expensive, but it usually works better and you don’t have to try 200 different over the counter treatments trying to find a good one. If you are a girl, going to birth control usually helps.

does proactive really work?
For most people, it works good at first, but after some time it stops working. It really dried out my skin, but it helped for a bit.

should i quit eating candy/drinking soda?
There is controversy about if that and greasy foods really causes acne, but you should still cut down on those because they are unhealthy.

stay away from my face?
Yeah, don’t touch it all the time. Clean the things that can come in contact with your face (disinfect your phone, wash your pillowcase weekly). If you are a girl, don’t wear makeup 24/7. Give your face a break.

keep in hot water and scrub hard?
That irritates it, so no.
