<p>“Make a little extra – for dipping!” (cannot for the life of me remember what product this was for but H & I still say it.)</p>

<p>dragonmom- we played that “cigarette tag” game too. The cigarette commercials were always my favorites, although I have never been a smoker.</p>
<p>“Kids! When it comes to floors how they hurt them so. Kids! They leave lots of heel marks as you well know…”. Years later I saw “Bye,Bye Birdie” and had an “aha, I know that song” moment.</p>
<p>Another favorite - “I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, I’d like to buy the world a Coke and keep it company”.</p>

<p>And I always thought this was local to Indiana, but H grew up in Pennsylvania and they used a version there</p>
<p>“SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY, at the US 31 DRAGSTRIP!” Shouted over the sound of racing car engines. If we are somewhere and someone says “I’ll see you on Sunday” or something like that my first instinct is to yell “SUNDAY,SUNDAY, SUNDAY”</p>

<p>I associate that commercial with my cousins who were from the Chicago area. (I grew up in MI.) We would all stay together at a small, summer cabin that my folks built near Mackinaw City; my cousins were always trying to tune in WLS on the radio; that commercial aired on the station quite often!</p>
<p>Yah, hahahahahaha (maniacal laughter)–Raaaacewaaay Park!</p>
<p>I remember the cigarette commercials too … they’re still available on YouTube. I was watching one for Salem the other day which showed a kid sneaking his parent’s cigarettes while talking about how smooth and mild it was! The things people used to do when I was a kid!</p>
<p>I used to love candy cigarettes!</p>
<p>^^^^I was in a novelty candy store a couple of weekends ago in Austin and they had the candy cigarettes, as well as bubble gum cigars and many other candy items which I thought were long gone from the marketplace. My D1 actually bought a bunch of the cigarettes for friends back in Chapel Hill.</p>

<p>Except, in the day, it was just “I am stuck on Band-aid…” Nobody had to know it was Band-aid BRAND…</p>

<p>I can’t really remember any commercials( other than the ones already mentioned), but remember all the cigarette billboards?</p>
<p>How about that annoying ad, “Ring around the collar”? Shame on those housewives that weren’t getting their husbands’ shirts clean!</p>
