<p>It’s a much bigger deal for alums than for students. Most students are usually too busy to notice. For alums in the Northeast, it’s a good excuse to enjoy autumn in the Finger Lakes. Myself and ten friends have rented a cottage on Cayuga!</p>

<p>I really want to come. But all of my friends have graduated. And I don’t exactly want to drop a few on a hotel room. So I will be remaining in NYC. Sigh…</p>

<p>a lot of people go to the game, from current students to alumni, and professors to families around ithaca. as far as what happens during the game, im not sure (couldnt go last year because i had a huge assignment due that monday) but it should be a LOT of fun! if you arent going to go to any other football games, i would go to this one</p>
<p>d is going and is so excited. Luckily one of her friends is still up there doing a master’s program. So she has a place to stay.</p>
<p>gomestar- did you check out the hotel rates in Cortland? It really isn’t too far away (about half hour) and they have alot of hotels including Days Inn, Ramada, Hampton Inn and a few others. I’ve done the Ithaca/Cortland trip MANY times as I had kids in both towns.
I’m sure the Ithaca hotels are booked and probably are charging top dollar. Hotel rates for graduation were about $350/night.</p>
