<p>…wait, what? Sophie’s World IS Philosophy, all sorts of philosophical ideas explained. She gets to questions that are Who are you? and Where does this world come from? Alberto sends her philosophy packets all the time. The plot is really just there to move the story along.</p>
<p>are you asking what Sophie represents? I don’t think Sophie represents anything but the protagonist; what we are supposed to focus on is her interactions with Alberto.</p>
