Any suggestions for Reading portion?

lol i spent my 17th b-day taking that test

the reading section is also my weakest, so i really shouldn’t be giving any advice. but, i have improved in that area by doing all of the specific questions first without any pre-reading. after doing the specific questions, i tend to read a lot of the passage anyways, so i can get a good feel of the passage, and it is then easier for me to do the general questions. also, i always seem to forget whatever i did in the pre-reading, and i think taking notes is a waste of time. overall, just skip around and do the easiest questions first. these methods helped me improve a lot on the reading section.

I got a 28 in reading and that was my highest score (comp 27). This i what I did. I read all the questions first. then I went back and read the passage while underlining parts I thougt were questions. Also read very quickly. My biggest problem is that I spent too much time reading the earlier passages. Then at the end I had two passgaes left so I didnt even read them. I just scimmed them really fast and guessed and almost all of them.

momof3boyz,

it seems like you had absolutely no trouble on the science section…care to share your strategy?

Time is obviously the factor in that section, imo moreso than in others.

my composite is killing me…a 23…pathetic…and thats my 2nd time taking it too …

J/W …do you all study much the night before the test or not?
