How difficult is it to take AP Physics as a sophomore? I'll be taking sophomore (honors) chemistry as well, so I'll have to drop either Latin 2 or French 3, and I won't have any study halls. Which language should I drop, and is it even a good idea to take AP Physics? I meet the requirements as I'll be taking honors pre-calc next year, and I've had an A/A- in Algebra 1,2 and Geometry.

I don’t know about others, but I’m taking AP Physics as a senior right now and I would say that some units are pretty hard. Everyone in my class agrees (except the whiz who got into MIT) and we all had to have a 3.5+ GPA to get into the class. I would advise you to wait until junior or senior year. Why do you want to take Physics so early?

It depends if it’s B or C. B will be a lot easier than C.

If I were you, I would definitely take it. I think you should drop Latin because you’re higher up in French. But if you like Latin more, staying with it would be fine too.
