i know a lot of events for sororities happen on mondays… is it going to hurt my chances of joining or negatively affect my experience if i have a class on monday until 7:45 at night?! Thanks!

I can’t answer your question directly because I was in a USC sorority in the last millenium but…on Monday evenings WE (notice we) had pledge meetings (prior to dinner),chapter dinner, and then there was Chapter meeting, and the Board meeting. If I remember correctly (and it has been a LONG time) dinner was served around 6…so space the events around this time frame

Hey Amy,
Yes- sororities have dinner/chapter dinner on Monday Nights, however this won’t be held against you during rush. This class will most likely only be for a semester, and there’s no way a house will hold that against you for 4 years due to a shortterm commitment.

As for once you are IN the house, many girls miss Monday Night Dinner/Chapter for class, but each house has their own way of dealing with it. Some houses make you get a note signed from your advisor saying this was the only time you could take the class, while others may fine you or make you make up the missed hours through attending other events with the house. This is something you would need to ask on a house-by-house basis. But as for getting IN to the house, this class conflict won’t hurt you.
