<p>I know stuff like this has been done before so excuse me in advance. I am an out of stater (metro Chicago) who would love to go to UCLA, SD or I. I took advantage of the application and applied to all campuses besides Merced. ( i really like CA)
my california adjusted GPA for sophmore and junior year is 4.0
my Act is 29
my SAT IIs are US history 800 Math II 600
AP US test 5
have taken about half my classes AP and honors level
i will have gone above and beyond the requirements 3 science classes, 3 french, 5 Social Studies, 5 math, 4 english, 8 arts, and 2 College Elective
this year I am taking AP European History, AP Stats, Honors Geography, Honors Music Theory II, English. Band and Jazz Band
My ECs Band and Jazz band 4 years, Music Improv group 4 years, Pep Band 4 years Boy Scouts til Sophmore Year Life Scout with some leadership ranks, ACLU 1 year, Young Democrats 1 year, Metallurgy Club (heavy Metal Club) 3 years, Radio Show 2 years, Several Performing and Recording Bands, Have worked at a Grocery store and taught guitar lessons.
Also before you mention it , YES i am aware of the budget chrisis in CA and the hike in tuition but its not a problem

<p>I like your chances for all of the UC’s except Cal and UCLA. I do think that you have a shot for all of them, but UCLA and Cal will be slight reaches. Your ACT is decent (for Cal/UCLA that is) and you have a lot of EC’s and club affiliation, but nothing too unique except for giving guitar lessons. </p>
<p>Considering that you are applying as a History major, I would say that your chances of getting into either Cal or UCLA are pretty good. How are your personal statements? Did you take the normal SAT I? </p>
<p>I’m also applying to the same schools that you are, but as a transfer student and as a Psych major. Let’s hope for the best. Maybe we’ll both be in LA next year.</p>
