Sould i Transfer...?Do i have a chance?

I?m in a low budget jock school that is slightly decreasing academics, I?m on a partial scholarship, but still hard to afford which is the main reason I went it was the only school that I could afford. But report cards came in and I ranked #1 with a 98.6 average, and perfect attendance. It was unexpected and I didn?t even try to get high grades, the courses are challenging to my peers some of which came from very pricy and/or selective middle schools that are on a full ride. But just way too easy for me , I managed to get by the frist semester by sleeping for all my classes. I live in the south Bronx, from a very poor family, the first one in it to go to high school, I was thinking of transferring to a prep school but I don?t know if I can afford any or could get accepted to one.

Any Ideas???

by the way was also a bench warmer for the football team , and a good Grappler but just got hurt, so there’s no way i’m placeing in states and won no tournaments cuz i was always placed with very good state Qualifiers

do you go to a boarding school already? or a local private school? what grade are you in? i like how you candidly noted you were a bench warmer, as if that was your official position.

hmm, sounds like you need a change. it seems like ur on the right track by identifying that u are in need of a challenge, thats part of the battle right there.
the fact that ur mentioning how the courses ARE challenging to some of ur peers from pricey schools also says something. goahead and look into it. but u’ll need to hurry up because most schools have mid jan. deadlines. plus FA deadlines are sometimes quite early too. list what ur interests are, find schools that match those areas of interests and get going on that. (ie sports that u want to continue, etc. ) good luck!
