<p>I’ve been admitted to the LSA honors program and hope to be in Honors housing next year. Has anyone seen or have any idea about what south quad will be like when it opens after renovations?</p>

<p>Out of a Michigan Daily article:
However, Newman said South Quad’s renovations will not be as extensive as the recent renovations done to other buildings.</p>

<p>“South Quad is primarily a dining renovation,” Newman said. “The principle work is on the first and lower level. We are not doing the extent of infrastructure as we have the other renovations, but we will be redoing the bathrooms on all the residential floors.”</p>

When students return to South Quad, they will have wireless network access throughout the building, an all-new dining facility with several micro-restaurants, new music practice rooms, a new community center, redesigned group study rooms and improved student bathrooms. The building’s plumbing will be upgraded and the dining and community spaces will have air-conditioning.

<p>Heh. “Micro-restaurants” is usually just a fancy way to say “themed cafeteria food stations.” </p>
