<p>Preppy is preppy, no matter where you live. Go to an SEC football game and you will see guys in blazers and ties and girls in dresses. </p>
<p>Davidson is exceedingly preppy, but probably a reach. Is that a weighted or unweighted GPA? What are your test scores? Do you count Florida? When you say “preppy,” does that mean you want Greek life and sports, or a more intimate campus environment? Rollins or Eckerd in Florida might fit. Guilford has a “preppy” feel to it, but is a Quaker college and quite progressive. Are you male or female? There are some traditional women’s colleges which fit the preppy bill quite nicely. Depending on your weighted GPA and test scores, Elon might be a fit. If you’re looking for something larger, you might have a shot at Clemson, College of Charleston, or any number of public colleges other than UNC-Chapel Hill or UVA. Wake Forest would also be a reach for you, unless you have heavily weighted courses and killer test scores. Rhodes has a “preppy” feel on the immediate campus, but the outlying community (ie. Memphis) is as un-preppy as you will find. Old Dominion or VCU, possibly? </p>
<p>this is all hearsay. All 4 yr schools have preppy contingents, but Rhodes, Vandy, Tulane, Georgetown, UVA, W&M, and Sewanee seem to be mentioned often as particularly preppy.</p>
<p>LOL. I’ve been raised in the North and visited three or four SEC schools. Let me tell you, kids dress way nicer in the south. Guys wear khakis, button ups, and sperrys to class and the girls are always looking beautiful in dresses on game day. In the north everyone wears t shirts and hoodies to gameday and sweatpants to class.</p>
<p>As for the lipstick on a pig, think what you will. But coming from a northerner, southern women are a step above any other region in looks. No question. SEC women in a class of their own. </p>
