My child is considering sending an application to UF. Apparently if you don’t apply by November 1 you’re added to the “space-available basis” category. How difficult is it to get admitted from this category? Are the overwhelming majority of acceptances from the November 1 pool of applications? My son is OOS and had decent stats.
I was told it decreases chances meaningfully. But I have no basis for that other than what someone told me 2nd hand.
It is extremely difficult to get in if you don’t apply by the Nov 1 priority deadline. I don’t have exact stats, but I don’t know if any have gotten in recently that applied late. @Melissa96 she would know
Yes, the vast majority of students are admitted from the on-time (November 1st) applicant pool.
A UF rep was at my school earlier this year, and said “space available” acceptance is just about impossible. She mentioned that there are “single digit” spots available for post Nov-1 applicants.
Seems like “space available” is basically another way of saying “wait list”.
