I currently use as my main email addresses two different gmail accounts. One I use for friends, family and close business; the second is the email I use for online purchases, mailing lists, and anything I fill out that needs an email address. My personal email might get 3 spam emails at most a week, usually Canadian drug offers; the second email might have 2-4 spam emails a week, and again mostly Canadian drugs. About 2 weeks ago I started getting up to 50 spam emails a day to my second email address; all seem to be sent to “friend.” I am assuming that my address was picked up from something I signed up for; about the time I started receiving these, I had used that email address for something, I just don’t remember now what it was. What I don’t know is if my email address was sold, or did some computer just happen to come up with my email addresses and it sends out mass emails.

I am a bit anal about my email being kept tidy, so I delete these emails as soon as I see them. Gmail catches usually 100% of them, so at least each email is in the spam folder. I think these emails bug me more than the robo phone calls :(

OK, I am done venting!!
