I am a sophmore right now taking spanish 3.
Next year I am debating taking spanish 4 or Medical electives.
Which one is more beneficial for the BS/MD programs??
Thanks!!!

is medical electives a class or something lol?

do both you overachieving indian

haha i agree with the guy above me

My school offers med. electives some of which are really interesting like microbiology, pharmacology etc.

I can only make room for them if I drop spanish next year. So I was wondering …

Thanks,

seriously? pharmacology?
that sounds so amazing
go with that, minor in spanish in college later lol

Seriously though, if theyre both weighted the same and it won’t affect your rank,
do which one you want to do.

Well is Spanish IV (AP) a weighted GPA vs. the other “medical” courses unweighted?

If they are unweighted, then it is likely to bring down your rank.

Thanks for the responses !!

Both spanish and these electives are weighted.

Well if both are given the same number of extra grade points (being weighted), then pick which one you like: Micro and Pharmacology sound like good ones. It’s also something good to talk about in interviews that you’ve taken undergrad courses they are at the college-level which would be helpful to build on in medical school: Micro and Pharm etc.
