spanish/portugese certificate

am i reading it correctly? you only need 3 more courses in addition to fulfilling the university’s proficiency requirement in order to get a certificate in spanish/portugese (or any other language for that matter)?

Yes, 3 upper level courses plus a thesis type thing.

do those courses have to be taken by a certain time or just before graduation?

and does upper level mean 300 level or higher?

Before graduation, I think.

I’m not entirely sure what upper level refers to; if Spanish is the same as Latin, then you can have one 200 level course and two 300s.

thanks for your help

I’m pretty sure they have to be 300-level courses.
