<p>If I put on my common app that I am proficient in Spanish, and then receive a 770 on Spanish, does my score contradict my claim? </p>
<p>I have lived in Costa Rica and Chile for eight weeks total, and learned pretty much entirely from those places. </p>
<p>The real question would be the wisdom of saying you are proficient in Spanish based upon living 8 weeks in Costa Rica and Chile. If you would be comfortable writing all your college apps in Spanish and doing your interviews in Spanish, go for it. If not, think twice.</p>
