Did anyone do sparknote SAT II trig review problem 5? [SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2: Review Questions](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)
I keep getting an answer that’s not in the choice. I looked at the explanation I think it is wrong. Can someone convince me that I am wrong?

If you have a graphing calculator, you can use law of sines and solve the following equation:

(sin A)/7 = (sin (70-A))/5

I used WolframAlpha and got A approx. 41.7 deg. Hmm…

They messed up their arithmetic while doing Law of Cosines. Side c is actually about 9.9, and replacing 7.08 with 9.9 in their Law of Sines solution gives MITer94’s answer.

thank you. that’s what I got too.

^Wow. They put a plus sign instead of a minus sign in their law of cosines step. Not even an arithmetic error. Lolz.
