<p>Let’s say, I was applying to Harvard. Would it be considered bad if I admit that I used Sparknotes in many of my AP Lit/Lang assignments (It would fit and make sense in context of the essay, but I am just wondering if it would reflect poorly on me)</p>
<p>Yes. It makes it sound like you aren’t capable of, or aren’t interested in, doing the hard work of interpreting a piece for yourself.</p>
<p>Ok, so even if the essay was about personal development which changed my bad Sparknotes habits would still be a bad idea?</p>
