My daughter gave me a starter set of Bare Minerals for my 58th birthday. I really like the make-up. I don’t normally wear very much, so this is perfect. It just evens out my skin tone and takes the shine away. Now for daytime all I do is moisturize, brush on bare minerals, put on a touch of lipstick and I feel polished without feeling made-up. It takes about 3 minutes for the whole routine.

This is starting to read like those reviews on Amazon, you know,—completely contradictory! So, is it shiny or matte? Or maybe it depends on your skin and the type of moisturizer you’ve used?

I guess I’ll have to go try some for myself.
Maybe we should start a new makeup thread for all things makeup. I’m getting a kick out of all these 50+ testimonials.

Posting here because it’s more fun that fighting with the FAFSA and CSS Profile…
As for shiny vs. matte-- a couple of the Bare Minerals products I tried first had a tiny bit of mica or something that gave my skin a bit of a sparkly appearance. I’m not the sparkly type. The Bare Radiance all-over color isn’t as matte as some, but doesn’t have the glittery look etiher. I think it’s just right (so yes, four stars!) :)
