First off let me say that though I just joined college confidential, it has been a great help in years past!

Anyways, I will attempt to simplify the situation:

I am already accepted to Baylor for fall 2010, and I will be a junior. I am 100% sure I want to get in the accounting program, and asap because I don’t want it to take longer than it should, mainly for $$ reasons.

The business school has a rule that 12 ‘Baylor hours’ are required before admittance to the business school, but I need to be in the business school to take accounting classes and pretty much any class I will need to take. I already have all of the ‘lower level’ business credit transferring in.

So the question is who should I talk to and how should I lay it all out that they should waive the 12 hour rule for me? I have already emailed the accounting department chair about something else and will be meeting with him in person in about two weeks. So I’m thinking he would be a good option.

There is also some complication with the lower level courses transferring, but that I’m not so concerned about. I just don’t want to come off as audacious for asking them to break their own rule they surely have for good reason. And of course I want them to agree with me!
