I’m also considering being a social worker, but the specific role I want to pursue is the position where I organize which foster homes orphans are placed into based on personality compatibility. I can’t find the name of this position and I was wondering if anyone knows info on it? Thanks!!
My sister has a MSW, and she’s also a LCSW, and she was a director of a private foster care agency. I think she was involved with that aspect. (She’s now in private practice as a clinical therapist).
If you’re talking about county placements, then I don’t know if they have a professional who just does that.
Anyway, if you’re looking for any sort of mgmt/director/ placement position, I think you’re going to need the MSW, at least.
OP, you are aware of the pay for this profession?
