SPEECH 121 (WEST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE) THE SAME AS COMMUNICATION STUDIES 35 (SANTA MONICA COLLEGE)???

<p>Dear Forum,
I took Speech 121 at WLAC in Spring 2012 and I was looking to transfer to UCLA as a Communication Major.
This class is named Interpersonal Communication in both SMC and WLAC, but in SMC it is named Communication Studies 35. I was wondering if these classes are the same thing or if they are different. I do not want to take the same class twice. Even though I think the classes are the same on Assist it shows differently:</p>

<p>Please help me figure out if these courses are the same or not. They are both interpersonal communication. One shows up on assist and the other does not. One is named Speech 121 and the other is name Communication Studies 35. I do not want to take a class that I have already taken.
