What seems so easy for others to do, is a pain for me to overcome; speaking. I been stuttering since I was about eight or nine. It was odd that I began stuttering because I was actually quiet fluent or at least from what I remember. I want to become an accountant, CPA, formally. My question is how would my speech affect my career? Would an interviewer look down on me as soon as he hears me stutter? I see peoples faces whenever I stutter and it bothers me at times. I’m used to stuttering, but people that I’ve never met would probably judge me. An interviewer might think I’m just nervous that I am stuttering. Should I let them know that I have a speech disorder and that it will not affect my communication skills? I’m pretty outgoing and friendly even though I stutter. What is the best way to go about this and clients in the near future?
