<p>Out of curiosity, what are some of the effective ways to spend a summer? Such as interning, volunteering, etc. </p>
<p>I know how EC’s are of great importance but where can I find out more info on what to do during summer???</p>

<p>Talk to your school’s career center, or just start thinking of employers you think would be interesting to intern for and e-mail them.</p>

<p>Since you’re posting on the Graduate School board, I hope you don’t think ECs are important for graduate school admission. They are NOT.</p>
<p>No, but I think a good internship can help you flesh out your goals and interests. It has certainly helped me.</p>
<p>But yeah, “EC” is not the right word.</p>
