********. For water polo and swimming, I was in the pool SEVEN HOURS A DAY during my summers in high school.

why do people think it’s ok to overexaggerate? For the 5th time, i’m in music and sports PASSIONATELEY and I go to a school thats in the top 1 percent of the nation… I barely spend more than 3 hours a day on one sport… i do jazz band and its pretty rigorous at my school… practices are 1 hour long a day. Nobody practices 7 hours a day even in the summer…

How exactly does one determine that their school is “in the top 1 percent of the nation”?

I was certainly not exaggerating, ask any serious swimmer how much time they spend practicing. It’d be 3 hours a day at the absolute minimum

Yes, for swimming, it’s a 1.5-2 hour morning practice usually, then a 2-3 hour afternoon practice, plus I had water polo practices.
