Spring 2015 Transfer Thread

Damn I wish my app status would change already

Me too. The waiting is stressful. @arkarind

@arkarind @UTpatriot17 There was a misunderstanding with the question I was asked on my part. My status says Complete/On Time but at the very top it states that the application is in review. I wouldn’t stress it anymore and just wait until you get notification. There is nothing that can be done at this point and so leave it up to the admissions council to make their selection. At first, I was stressed the same way but after my visit I am not waiting so anxiously as I once was. Just worry about what you can control right now and plan for if you go or if you don’t go to UT. It will distract you from worrying, help you spend your time productively, and time will pass by much faster than playing the “hurry up and wait” game. Don’t sweat it and be sure to have a contingency plan. Good luck to all of you.

Yay mine says in review now lol

Mine still says in review on top but complete/on time as the status. @arkarind‌ does your status say in review?

@violethorns17‌ mine is the same way

All we can do now is wait. Hopefully we’ll start hearing decisions by Nov. The admissions counselor I spoke with said late december/early january at the latest for those without 30 hours already. So if you already have 30 hours, expect to hear some news by late November.

How’s everyone holding up? Just a few more weeks y’all! Whatever happens, good luck to everyone!

im scared ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Im full of aniexty. This waiting is killing me. Why can’t UT just give decisions like other schools? Why have us wait this long, especially for spring transfers. We have so little time to prepare. I hate being kept waiting, then rushed to complete/pay for things.

I know. I already got admitted into UIUC but im still waiting on UT ughhhhhhhhhh

I didnt apply anywhere else but im thinking about applying to Tarleton State University.

4.0 so far as midterm grades came out. How strong should my resume be if I was too keep this 4.0 till the end of spring?

4.0 is certainly impressive, but UT is cutting back on the number of admitted transfers who reach 30 hours after the application deadline.

From UT’s Feb. 2014 Transfer Times:

In addition to academic fit and preparedness, being ready to enroll can also be related to timing. In an effort to help make sure that incoming students have the time to transition to life as a Longhorn, the University is now giving preference to transfer applicants who have completed at least 30 hours of transfer coursework by the application deadline. Admission decisions for these students can be made well before the start of a semester meaning students have time to plan for enrollment. At least for the upcoming semester, however, the University will consider applicants who complete their 30 hours of coursework after the deadline and will hold a few spots for some of them.

@redwing54 Thanks for the information but the admission rate seems quite stable to me?

@Redwing54‌ Never mind, I totally see where this came from. So will a good gpa still not be efficient? My resume is pretty strong also.

When are we likely to hear back? Will decisions start coming out soon?

November, likely mid.

this is taking too long lol

Does anyone know a safe minimum to get into CNS chemistry and the minimum just to get into say a second choice major like UGS or COLA?
