Spring 2015 Transfer Thread

what the actual f***

UT Austin admissions office is BSing right now.

@kooplar246 @MyYeti – Thanks guys! I too hope to see you all on campus!

@annapresident – Don’t worry. Just keep trying for the fall

@chris6564 @kooplar246 Dude, we will all be together on January 12th for spring orientation, don’t forget!

Could I get a quick poll of how many people still haven’t gotten a decision yet?

I haven’t gotten mine. @Kooplar246‌

I feel as if some people on this forum got bad news and stopped posting. There use to be a lot more responders.

@Kooplar246 Still waiting for mine too.

I’m gonna try to get through to the admissions office today and see if I hear anything at all.

I called the admissions office just right now, and the lady on the phone explained that only a dozen or so decisions went out yesterday, since most of the “decision makers” are already out for their Thanksgiving break. She sounded pretty frustrated herself. She also said to hopefully begin looking for a decision the first two weeks of December.

Has anyone heard from CSE??

I haven’t heard back either but I will wait for their decision. I will be sure to inform you all of the result if I am accepted or not. The reason I haven’t posted anything after my last comment was because it was unhealthy to complain about something I had no control over so I distracted myself with a vacation. Happy Holidays to all of you and I will respond when I receive notice.

Thanks for posting guys. And good philosophy @jhern5‌ I wish I would have done the same instead of checking my status 20 freaking times every day. I hope the, “If you haven’t gotten rejected by now, you’re in pretty good shape” still holds true. All we can do is wait.

Well said by @Kooplar246‌, great philosophy!! Happy holidays to you as well @jhern5‌ !

Still no decision yet. But i’ve moved on already. I got tired of waiting and a better opportunity presented itself.

I would like to know my chances of getting in. Thank you very much :D

oof. Okay, so I just filled out my FAFSA and I’m applying for housing on campus as well. How bad is it that I waited this long?

So I’m just going to throw this out there and I mean no disrespect.

If you’re not willing to wait for UT then was it really your #1? It’s thanksgiving, you can’t expect a decision this week. They have a family too… I know how frustrating it is to wait for a decision and be nervous about it but its a part of the process. If you want it bad enough you will fight through it. Why work so hard to get to UT if you’re just going to give up now? You’ll have your decision by the 15th for sure and it’s already about to be december. Just relax and let whatever happens, happen. Calling them a million times is only going to make the admissions office mad. I’ve gone to the admissions in person and they have told me that they have nothing to do with the decision makers. They’re not even allowed to talk to them.

I totally agree with @saborak. I knew it would take me a short amount of time to get everything in order for UT Austin. If I would have gotten an acceptance in late December (which someone told me it might be), with little time to get everything in order for an apartment I would have slept on my cousin’s floor until I could find a place. I want to be a longhorn that much. I know a lot of people share that with me. Sure it’s frustrating. For the people that are moving on or are planning to, go ahead it might be better. For the people that are willing to handle a few more days of frustration and anxiety, I sincerely hope you get what you worked for.
Thank you to the people of this forum. You made it easier for me knowing that I was not alone and I could ask for an opinion. Hook 'em Horns!

@Saborak‌ are you for sure that it’s gonna be on the 15th?
I wanna be a longhorn that bad too. just gotta be more patient I guess … ugh

Bump.

Just hang in there y’all! Whatever the decisions are, it’ll be for the best! And of course, good luck to all of us still waiting!
