Spring 2015 Transfer Thread

We’re in the final stretch now!

Any news today?

@UTpatriot17 Yeah, my application for admission is in review

@Kooplar246‌ Mine said that all thanksgiving… :frowning:

@UTpatriot17‌ My status page has said that for a month. I actually thought that was standard while waiting.

Thanks y’all!

@UTPatriot17 lol it was a joke. But heck, UT office of admissions is a joke.

Whoops… Sorry. Lol @Kooplar246‌

And me too. But people have said before that theirs said “complete” @mtradiere‌

I guess at this point all we can do is wait for the 15th

They’re really going to wait till the last possible day? @bettercallsal‌

I agree @UTpatriot17‌ , can’t we know earlier?

@UTpatriot17 @arkarind thats what it feels like to me. Maybe hopefully this week? If we’re lucky

I want to punch someone

Me too. @bettercallsal‌ & @jkim3265‌

This waiting is turning out to be stressful, REALLY stressful. But don’t worry guys. Just a bit more.

Hi guys, new here. I’m in the same boat, waiting to hear back on a transfer admissions decision. I’ve been obsessively checking MyStatus and combing the internet looking for any kind of info, which is how I found this board. I applied as a non-degree seeker to Moody College of Communication for communication sciences and disorders. I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in English and a GPA of 3.9, I had 2 solid essays and a letter of rec from a former boss at TXST, but no extracurriculars or clubs or anything. I’m feeling really nervous, Moody is supposed to be the 2nd most difficult college to get into and I’m worried that my lack of involvement will be a deal breaker. Just wanted to chime in, I’m anxious to hear if anyone else gets their notification, and I’ll update if I hear back myself. Hang in there!

Another day with no reply…

I’ve been admitted into my second choice school, COLA - Government!

3.87 GPA
35 credit hours
2 Letters of Recommendation from UT alum
3 fairly well written essays

Hey guys I have just been accepted to my first choice school, CNS- Biology!

Current college is University of Texas at Tyler (I did not do the CAP program)

56 hours. Current GPA is a 3.46, expected GPA after fall is a 3.54

College applied for is CNS

1st choice major is Biology, 2nd choice major is undergraduate studies

In my opinion, my essays were pretty good.

I had one recommendation letter. (From a former UT undergraduate and law school graduate)

I was a United States Ambassador for two years.

Congratulations @rogerybarra and good luck to all of the rest of the applicants! I hope y’all get it!

Congrats @UTpatriot17 and @rogerybarra! Thanks for the well wishes. It’s comforting to see posters in this thread earn the acceptances they’ve been waiting so patiently for. I’m still waiting to hear from Moody- CSD, hopefully now that they’re rolling out more decisions the rest of us won’t have much longer to wait.

Thank you @kalexandraa and the best of luck!

Thank you @kalexandraa and @UTPatriot17 ! Hope to see y’all on campus next semester!
