Anyone transferring into Gw for the Spring of 2016? Im going all the way from Cali to D.C and I’m beginning to freak out because I’m literally going into uncharted territory, meaning 1. a place I’ve never been before and 2. I do not know anyone from the east coast. It would be nice to have someone I know when i get their, move in day is Jan 7, its coming up quick!(:
Nick, don’t freak out! Lots of people make the jump from West Coast to East Coast- you’ll be fine!
Are you traveling alone or are your parents accompanying you? Even if traveling alone, it is VERY easy to get to campus.
Are you registered for Spring CI? http://ci.gwu.edu/spring-ci CI is a great place for you to meet other students that are just as new to the University as you are. I highly recommend going to the events on the 8th. First, FREE FOOD! Second, make some friends. A friend I made at Fall CI ended up being a great friend through all 4 of my years at GW.
Your first weekend on campus could be a little hectic depending when everyone else shows-up to campus. I’d take that time to introduce yourself to your hallmates in your dorm. Once Monday rolls around, classes start-up and you’ll have lots more opportunities to meet people in class.
