Spring Admission

How does transferring mid-year work?

I am goin to be a freshman at University of California, Santa Barbara. I realize now, however, that I may not have made the right choice. UCSB doesn’t even have the area of study that I am interested in, Nursing. If I were to apply for spring admission to NEU, would I attend UCSB until then, or how does transferring mid-year work?? Also, what are my chances of even getting in? (I live in California if that makes any difference).

I don’t know if any of this info means anything, I just added it anyway.
If anyone could explain mid-year transfers, as well as the difference for out of state tuition, that would be great.

I’m not sure how Spring Admission works but your stats look like a match for the nursing program. I would think that you could attend UCSB until spring and then transfer the credits that you have accumulated to Northeastern. I would do two things: (1) contact the admissions department at NEU to find out how Spring Admissions Works; and (2) contact the Dean of the nursing program to find out what courses at UCSB you should be taking (i.e. which courses will be transferrable). Here is a link to the Dean’s contact info:
