<p>My son got a letter saying he was rejected for Fall 2007 admission but accepted for Spring 2008 semester. Do many people who get rejected get accepted for Spring 2008? Or is it a select few? Or what?</p>

<p>It’s definitely not for everybody rejected. Some people are rejected flat out. I don’t know about “most”, though. I would say the majority of Maryland residents are admitted either Fall or Spring semester (over 50% of people who applied). Otherwise, I don’t know.</p>
<p>According to an article published in the Diamondback, in late January, there are approx. 400 Spring Admit students who do Freshman Connection.</p>

<p>my parents had their heart set on me attending umcp but i had to break the news that i only got in for spring. luckily, i got accepted to texas a&m college station the same day…so they took it well</p>
