Spring Enrollment

I was confused today when I saw that I was not accepted as a guest student for Spring 2011. The email said that it appeared my ultimate goal was to obtain a degree from the University of Michigan, and that guest enrollment may not be used as a preliminary step to do that. Why is this? Why can’t I go to U of M for spring and take some credits to make sure I like it before I apply as a full time student there? I never remember seeing anything that said this was against the rules. My GPA is a 3.8 at my current university, I can’t see that as a reason they’d reject me. Help anyone?

anyone have a clue?

No I don’t know why- it sounds illogical that they would do that. Set up a meeting with an admissions counselor and just ask.
