@jimbob22 its honestly a toss up since you said your essays weren’t great and your gpa isnt incredibly high. COLA is easier to get into but they are likely going to fill up really really fast.
Hey guys! I’ve been following his thread for a while. I checked mystatus yesterday morning and a “Fall 2016 Financial Aid” link popped up under the “Fall 2016 Transfer Admission” link. It’s still like that today. Anyone know why that would happen? My application is still in review, and from what I’ve asked from my other friends applying for transfer, they don’t have that link popped up and they are also still in review. Why would they put a financial aid link before an acceptance? I am assuming it’s an error, but any insight would be helpful! I just want to hear back from them already! Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know how long it takes for a decision after they receive the final transcript from the 2016 semester for out of state students?

@Newsie2015 thanks! i think they dont round up like a 3.59 up to a 3.60. but i have a 3.897. so i think that rounds up to 3.90?
guys i saw online that UT transfer has a 49% acceptance rate. isnt that pretty high?
@collegegurl97 You never round a gpa. I have a 3.906 but is just a 3.906
@collegegurl97 they still wont round it. They go by what the transcript said. Some schools do (but not in the case between a 3.9 and 4…0). I dont think UT is one of those schools

I have also had that financial aid tab the whole time. Not sure how long it takes them to accept or deny once they get and scan in your transcripts. It’s anyone’s guess really. Hoping it’s not too long after they have everything they need for a decision. I know the wait is horrific but we are approaching June 15th pretty fast so we will hear something soon enough! I have 41 hours, 3.906 gpa in a computer science & math double major from a four year university, I wrote the minimum requirements for admissions. I had the writing center at my school proof read them, my professor proof read it, and a few friends. My resume only consist of restaurant experience. I have been a server and a bartender in the fine dining scene in New Orleans for a while. I have had a professor of mathematics, assistant professor of mathematics, assistant professor of computer science, chemistry lab coordinator, instructor of mathematics write my letters of recommendations. If I don’t get accepted, what could I improve upon for applying in the spring semester besides getting an internship? Idk, I never thought I wanted something as much as I want to go to UT and I only made the decision in November.
