Hi, if you don’t mind could you elaborate on your situation. I’m in the same situation but haven’t heard back from them yet. 4.0/30+ hrs/ 2 LOR / 2 Essays / CAP 1st choice: PE - 2nd choice: Economics
I went to UTA and took:
Calc 1/2
Calculus based Physics 1/2
Chem 1
Geology
Microeconomics
Film Appreciation
US Government
@rivera007 what was your gpa last year when they offered you that?

You’re welcome! @jayelisha97 it was because apparently there was not enough “space” for my first or second choice major last year that’s why.

I understand why you wouldn’t take that but for me that sounds like it might not be a bad deal since I only put RTF down @rivera007

@jayelisha97 aw! I hope you get in also! Did you apply with more than 30 hours or did you just recently send your transcripts to make 30 hours ?

I’ve sent in all my stuff and my application page says “your application for admission is complete” but where are y’all seeing “in review” what’s the difference between the tire or are they the same?
@parthp97 mine says “Your application for admission is in review” at the very top of the page.
@parthp97 “completed” means they havent looked at it yet. “in review” means they have just looked at your application or are about to. Where it says "your application is completed’ will eventually change to say “your application is in review.”
Fellow RTF applicants, do you know if this is true?
“I spoke to the Dean of Comm and it’s now almost as competitive as Engineering and Business. For those looking to do internal transfer into RTF while at UT around 100 applied this year and they accepted 10. 400 applied as external and they only accepted 30. I got these statistics straight from the dean himself. It was extremely competitive for this fall. Anyways, best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors!”
I found this on the UT fall 2015 transfer page. If it is true, then that absolutely sucks.
@Newsie2015 - take anything you read w/ a grain of salt I saw that too and I think someone replied to it with different stats. I know it’s VERY competitive, but those odds seem crazy small. I do know my daughter was told by an asst. dean that applying w/less than 30 before spring semester would not put her at a disadvantage for admission. Not sure what that means. Sure wish they would make some decisions though.
@Newsie2015 @rach98n those numbers seem way way too small… I doubt that’s accurate . Also if you look at this thread there are people who got in RTF with a 3.5 gpa, and if they were as selective as business and engineering are, they wouldn’t take anyone with less than a 3.8 it seems like
